It's going to be a great year!
We are very excited that we will be your child’s teachers this year. It is going to be a year full of fun, learning, and lots of adventures and we can’t wait to see what it has in store for us! I thought you might like to know a little about us.
Mrs. Blake
I am married to my wonderful husband, Nathan. We have two beautiful daughters; Reese (age 2) and Avery (4 months old). We also have a 6 year old chocolate lab named Tilley.
I have wanted to be a teacher since I was younger. Kindergarten was always my dream and I feel blessed my dream came true because I LOVE it! I went to Longwood University for my Bachelor's in Elementary Education Pre-K through 6th grade. In addition, I have my Master's in Special Education K through 12th grade.
In my free time, I love spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy reading, running, traveling, and relaxing on the beach.
I always look forward to meeting my new Kindergarten friends and am ready for a great year!

This is my 7th year at John B Dey working with Kindergardeners and it is truly my dream job.
I have lived in Virginia Beach most of my life. I graduated from James Madison University and married my best friend, who is a firefighter in Norfolk. I have two amazing daughters. Megan is in 10th grade in the IB program at Princess Anne High School, and Emma is an 8th grader at Brickell Academy.
I spend my free time watching my girls play soccer, hiking, cooking, and camping.
